Ogbono Soup Recipe
Ingredients:

1/2 cup ground Ogbono seeds
-
500g assorted meats (goat, beef, tripe)

1/2 cup palm oil
-
1 tbsp ground crayfish
-
2 cups chopped spinach or ugu leaves
-
1-2 scotch bonnet peppers
-
1 tbsp ground dried shrimp (optional)

1 bouillon cube or seasoning to taste

Salt to taste

Water
Instructions:

Boil Meat: In a large pot, season and boil your assorted meats until tender.

Make Ogbono Mix: In a separate pot, heat palm oil gently (do not bleach). Stir in ground Ogbono powder until smooth and stretchy.

Combine: Add the cooked meat and broth into the Ogbono mix. Stir continuously.

Flavor: Add crayfish, ground shrimp, bouillon cube, and salt.

Simmer: Let it simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Add Greens: Stir in chopped spinach or ugu leaves. Simmer for another 5 minutes.

Serve: Enjoy hot with pounded yam, fufu, or eba.
