Recipe: Jollof Rice with Royal Red Stew

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups long grain rice

  • 1 jar (16 oz.) Royal Red Stew – Extra-Extra Hot Flavor

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 2 cups water or stock

  • Optional: mixed vegetables or cooked meat

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, heat the oil and sauté onions until translucent.

  2. Add the entire jar of Royal Red Stew and cook for 5 minutes.

  3. Stir in washed rice and mix well with the stew.

  4. Add water or stock, salt, and bring to a boil.

  5. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 25–30 minutes until rice is fully cooked.

  6. Fluff and serve hot. Optionally garnish with fried plantains or salad.
