Recipe Using This Product

Recipe: Hausa Koko (Spicy Millet Porridge)

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Granulated Millet

  • 3 cups water

  • 1 tablespoon ginger (grated)

  • 1 teaspoon cloves (ground)

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • Sugar (to taste)

  • Milk or evaporated milk (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the millet granules with 1 cup of water into a smooth paste.

  2. In a pot, bring the remaining 2 cups of water to a boil.

  3. Add the millet paste gradually while stirring continuously.

  4. Add the ginger, cloves, and black pepper.

  5. Stir and cook on low heat for 10–15 minutes until thick and aromatic.

  6. Serve hot with sugar or milk for breakfast.
