This 2oz/57g resealable pack contains rich, aromatic whole smoked shrimp, carefully dried and preserved without additives or preservatives. Known for its deep, umami flavor, this ingredient is a staple in many West African kitchens, perfect for soups, stews, and sauces.


Recipe Using Smoked Shrimp:

Smoked Shrimp Light Soup (Nkyenfunu Namu)

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp Nina International Smoked Shrimp

  • 500g goat meat or chicken

  • 2 fresh tomatoes

  • 1 onion (chopped)

  • 2 tbsp tomato paste

  • 1 scotch bonnet pepper

  • 1 tsp ground ginger

  • Salt and seasoning cube to taste

  • Water

Instructions:

  1. Boil meat with ginger, salt, and chopped onions until tender.

  2. Blend tomatoes, pepper, and remaining onion. Add to the meat.

  3. Add tomato paste and cook for 10–15 minutes.

  4. Add smoked shrimp and 1-2 cups of water. Simmer for 20 more minutes.

  5. Adjust seasoning and serve hot with fufu, rice, or boiled yam.
