This finely ground seasoning includes a mix of peanuts, ginger, garlic, cayenne pepper, paprika, onion powder, and savory herbs. Ideal for marinating meat, fish, or plant-based alternatives before grilling or pan-searing, it delivers a smoky, spicy kick to your favorite dishes.

Ghanaian Recipe: Suya Kebab (Chinchinga)

Ingredients:

  • 500g beef or chicken (thinly sliced)

  • 2 tablespoons Suya Pepper

  • 1 tablespoon groundnut oil (peanut oil)

  • 1 Maggi cube (optional)

  • Salt to taste

  • Sliced onions and tomatoes (for garnish)

  • Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Soak wooden skewers in water for 30 mins (if using).

  2. Toss meat slices with oil, salt, optional Maggi, and Suya Pepper until well coated.

  3. Thread meat onto skewers.

  4. Grill over hot coals or in an oven at 200°C (400°F) for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway.

  5. Serve with extra Suya Pepper, onions, and tomatoes on the side.
